Chaiti Chhath

The same four-day Chhath, kept in Chaitra (March–April) by fewer families — usually those who made a mannat (vow). Smaller ghats, hotter sun, and a quieter devotion.

Kartik se kya alag hai?

• It falls in the harvest month, so new wheat and chana go into the prasad.
• The nirjala fast is harder in April heat; vratis rest in the shade between arghyas.
• Ghats are less crowded, and many families keep it at home on terraces with a small tank.
• Ram Navami follows within three days, so the whole week feels festive.
